We had an amazing day in Kentucky with Walking Humbly Outdoor Adventures and the many kids who came out to learn about metal detecting and take home some great gear! It was truly an honor to be invited to be part of this special event.

More than 70 kids participated in an afternoon of hands-on learning, discovering how to operate a metal detector and searching the fields for both seeded treasures and natural finds. Even more impressive, 29 new families attended the event, helping introduce the hobby to a whole new group of outdoor enthusiasts.

One of the highlights of the day was being a part of WHOA's goal to give away 30 metal detecting kits to families so they could take the equipment home and continue their detecting adventures long after the event ended.

The metal detecting community continues to show what an incredible and generous group it is. Detectorists traveled from Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Kentucky to volunteer their time, share their knowledge, and help create a fun, positive, and memorable experience for everyone involved.

Thank you to Walking Humbly Outdoor Adventures, the volunteers, sponsors, and all the families who joined us. Seeing so many young people and families excited about metal detecting made for an unforgettable day, and we look forward to doing it again!
